Pool Games for Kids This Summer

The summer is a hot period when everyone enjoys going out for a swim. The fun time can become tiresome without a pool game to play. That is why we selected some pool games kids can enjoy this summer. Whether they are swimming in a kiddie pool or an in-ground pool, these games are the life of the party.

Pool Games for Kids

  1. Invisibobble

Invisibobble, short for an invisible bobble, is a simple game that kids can learn. The game uses a 2-liter bottle with a white cap. Fill the bottle with pool water. Before the game starts, the kids must close their eyes and wait for the signal to start. The bottle is plopped into the pool, and the kids dive in to find it. The first to pick the bottle wins the game.

  1. Fishy in the middle

The game Fishy in the Middle consists of three players and a ball to throw and catch. Kids that have played Monkey in the Middle should be familiar with this game. The game uses the deeper or shallow part of the pool. Divide the pool into halves with two players on each side. A player stands in the middle as the Fishy. The game instructs the players to toss the ball to each other, preventing the Fishy from reaching it. However, if a player throws the ball and Fishy catches it, the player becomes Fishy.

  1. Give props to the racers.

The game gives each kid an inner tube to swim through and appear on the other poolside. However, they cannot paddle with their hands or kick with their feet simultaneously. Each player waits for the signal and begins to swim with a beach ball from one end to the other without touching the pool bottom with their feet. The game requires energy and stamina, making it an excellent way for kids to get stronger at kicks.

  1. Diving for treasure

Diving for Treasure is a simple game of two to six players with goggles and treasure to find. The organizer throws many treasures in the pool, but not all over. The gems should be on the shallow part for a better experience. Kids can start swimming and collecting treasures from the pool bottom after the signal. After collecting many treasures, kids can swim back to the surface, pile them up on the side and dive back in.

  1. Ice-block

The ice block is a simple summer game. It has many manners of playing tag. Kids can make up different ways to make the game fun. However, you can try this one. Start by tagging someone. When you are tagged, you must remain still like an ice block. You can only get untagged when someone swims and touches your leg in the water. However, swimming underground makes it hard for a player to be tagged.

Conclusion

These are some simple summer fun games for kiddos that enjoy swimming. There are plenty of other ideas to make a memorable swimming session. Do more research to get a perfect fit for the number of kids.
